Illinois Public Adjuster
Koenig Public Adjusting works for you — not the insurance company — to document hail and wind damage to your roof, gutters and siding and fight for a fair settlement.
Serving homeowners across Illinois.
About Koenig Public Adjusting
Koenig Public Adjusting is an Illinois public adjusting firm focused on helping homeowners navigate exterior storm damage insurance claims. When hail or wind damages your roof, gutters or siding, we handle the claim on your behalf.
The insurance company has its own adjuster looking out for its interests. A public adjuster is licensed to represent you — inspecting the damage, documenting every detail, preparing the claim and negotiating with your insurer.
Founded on years of hands-on experience in construction, manufacturing, sales and retail, we know how homes are built, what repairs really cost, and how to communicate clearly with every party involved.

We represent the homeowner — never the insurance company.
Real-world construction knowledge behind every inspection and estimate.
From first inspection to final settlement, we manage the details.
Services
We currently focus on hail and wind damage to the outside of your home — the claims homeowners most often get underpaid on.

Future growth: large loss and commercial property claims are planned but not currently offered. Additional service areas beyond our current Illinois coverage will be listed here.
The Claims Process
Here's exactly what happens when you work with Koenig Public Adjusting.
Fill out the inspection form or call. We'll ask about the storm date, the damage you've noticed and your insurance carrier.
We inspect your roof, gutters and siding, photographing and measuring every sign of hail and wind damage.
We read your homeowners policy with you, explain your coverage and deductible, and tell you honestly whether a claim makes sense.
We build a detailed, documented claim — photos, measurements and a line-item estimate — and handle filing and deadlines.
We're on site when the carrier's adjuster inspects, making sure nothing is missed or downplayed.
We negotiate directly with your insurer, file supplements for missed items and push back on low offers.
Once the claim is approved, you receive your settlement and move forward with repairs using the contractor you choose.

Testimonials
After the hail storm, our insurer offered barely enough to patch the roof. Chris documented everything and we ended up with a full replacement.
He explained our policy in plain English and handled every call with the insurance company. It took a huge weight off our shoulders.
They caught gutter and siding damage we never would have noticed. Honest, responsive and genuinely on our side.

FAQ
A public adjuster is a licensed professional who represents the policyholder — you — in an insurance claim. The insurance company's adjuster works for the insurer; a public adjuster works for the homeowner.
